Bureau Veritas Thailand Supports Startups in Securing Funding and Business Opportunities at DIPROM STARTUP CONNECT 2024

Dr. Wichit Sopitanonrat, CEO of Bureau Veritas (Thailand) Ltd., participated as a speaker at the “DIPROM Startup Connect 2024” event and attended the business model presentations of startups during the Startup Connect activity. This event, part of the project to accelerate the establishment and expansion of smart entrepreneurs, aims to provide startups with opportunities to enhance their business knowledge and skills. It also promotes the use of technology and innovation in developing market-responsive products, connects them with various supporting industries, and facilitates access to funding and marketing channels. These efforts are designed to ensure stable growth for startups and to add economic value.

Bureau Veritas Thailand was among 20 leading national companies playing the role of investors who listened to the business model pitches under the project. The event was organized by the Office of Entrepreneur and New Business Promotion, Department of Industrial Promotion, at SCB NEXT TECH, Siam Paragon.

The "Startup Connect" activity under the project to accelerate the establishment and expansion of smart entrepreneurs promotes opportunities and channels for startups to develop their business knowledge and skills. It encourages the use of research, technology, and innovation in developing products that meet market demands. It also links startups with various supporting industries to foster innovation and creates opportunities for appropriate access to funding and marketing, enabling businesses to grow steadily. The project is expected to have a long-term economic impact on the country, potentially generating more than 1 billion baht in economic value through knowledge development, business matching, and negotiations to promote marketing. The goal is to achieve at least 200 million baht in investment this year.
